You:I need a document collecting from a lawyer and do not know the job title of the kind of person I want to hire for an hour or two to collect it for me. I have had five bad experiences with the law firm in question in the past. What job title do I need please?

Good thank you for asking. Can you share with me some background and clarify what you are seeking?
Sure. The background is about 5 things have gone badly with this law firm Viberts for me before. Recently 3 things have gone badly recently with my sister. She has hired the law firm to transfer the shares of a company owning my lived in home/office apartment to me. I am reluctant to enter the law firms office building to sign for and collect the share certificate. The law firm has regularly tried to amplify my depressive personality deliberately since 1994 once with completely catastrophic effect. I was thinking of trying to hire a conveyancer to go in there for me to sign for and get the real estate holding company share certificate. I am only a lowly qualified adjudicator though and inexperienced in dealing effectively with law firms like Viberts. Another idea of mine was to hire a security company like Group4 to collect it that once used to clean my home/office apartment regularly. What alternatives, if any, do I have please?

Thank you for the reply. If you do not want to go in there and just need to sign a document, you can ask that they send it to you and you can sign it and return it to them. Another option, is to consider giving someone a limited POA to sign that document and act on your behalf, in this transaction.

What happens if I do not think I am obligated to sign a receipt? The share certificate belongs to me as it was left me in my Mum's will in 2023.

You do not have to sign anything that you do not want to and/or is not in your best interest

If I don't sign I might not get the share certificate to the apartment but there might be another way of getting what is mine without another forced signing right? Viberts did force 2 signings off me before. What are those other ways of getting what is mine please?

You would have to sue and take legal action then

Thanks. I had one last idea of approaching the company secretary of the 3 unit property holding company and simply asking her to issue me a replacement share certificate after cancelling the share certificate that has effectively been held hostage by Viberts. Do you think that is a realistic plan and secondly would it be more cost effective than hiring a lawyer for legal action?

Yes. Nothing wrong with making good faith effort to resolve this and presenting that. Worst case they say now and you can hire an attorney if you need to at that point
